This is the most intense and exciting tour of my career yet. It's DAY 1. We kick off 82 days straight on the road tonight in Anaheim. Together with the tours ambassador Zane Lamprey, we having been developing and planning this show for 9 months. The entire show is comedy, but it's not just Stand Up. There is so much fun stuff that Zane and I developed specifically for this tour. We have built an experience. We call it the Drinking Made Easy experience. Marc is trying to love Lucy. She is the ultimate sexy girl next door. He wants to believe that she's the one, but is constantly finding out how tricky it is to love Lucy.

03.04.10 - Academy Award Nominee Mo'Nique Helped Me!

I thought it would be a fun time to share my connection and friendship to comedian/actress Mo'Nique. She is up for and Academy Award this weekend. I hope that she receives it too. She truly deserves it!

Let me preface this story by saying no one... not one person in my nearly 20 year career has extended this much kindness. I first met Mo'Nique in 1997. I was opening for her at a comedy club in Augusta, GA.

She was a kind sole from the first hello. Thursday night after the show, the club owner asked me if I'd like to do radio with Mo'Nique on Friday morning. I later found out they meant, will you give Mo'Nique a ride to radio? Some comedy club owners and managers enjoy taking advantage of the opening comedians because they are so eager to do whatever it takes to keep getting bookings.

The next morning Mo'Nique and I went to an urban radio station. We came up with a comedy bit where I would play a loud-lost redneck that broke down outside the studios. It set Mo'Nique and the Radio Host up for so many funny jokes. The listeners loved it. Mo'Nique and I celebrated with and awesome biscuit's and gravy breakfast. Later that day I got a call from the owner of the club. He was yelling at me from hello. "How could you go on that urban station and do a redneck character?" - "Cancel all your upcoming dates with me!" I panicked and called Mo'Nique. She was a calming and reassuring counselor for me at that time. She also promised that if she ever had an opportunity to help me that she most certainly would. A lot of people say this ... Mo'Nique is the only one to ever come through on this promise.

Cut to several years later. I moved to Los Angeles in 2000. When I arrived in town I reached out to Mo'Nique to say hello. She immediately welcomed me with open arms. One of our first visits she was concerned that I may be starving after the big move to L.A. She took me to Costco and filled my refrigerator with food. It was an unbelievable gesture at the time and still stands out to this day.

The kindness doesn't stop there. Mo'Nique gave me a small walk on part on her sit-com The Parkers. It is very rare to be given a role. Even big celebs have to audition. From that one appearance I was able to join the Screen Actors Guild Union and acquire representation. My favorite memory is dancing with Mo'Nique in front of the studio audience after we wrapped our scene. It was a blast and truly one of my favorite Hollywood moments thus far. Come Sunday I will be cheering for Mo'Nique!

Thank you and welcome to a new way to stay connected. For many years now as the internet has advanced and online video has exploded, I have craved a easy to use site that people could keep up on all that was going on in my career. Until now, it was out of my reach. I am so grateful to all of you who stayed with me as things have to continue to grow. It was your support that built this amazing new website.

I think my favorite new feature is that you can enjoy any of the videos or audio cuts from my CD uninterrupted! The media player plays continuous as you surf around the different sections of the site.

You can hear tracks from all three of my LIVE comedy albums in the media player. Also there are newly added videos and many more soon to be uploaded.

If you are a fan of staying up to date by RSS feeds, I have 2 set up here. One will keep you up to date every time I post a NEW update and the other will alert you as soon as new tour dates are added to the schedule.

Another new killer feature is the ability to share! And do please share me... SHARE me like the whore I am! Every video, Audio and News item is capable of being shared on Social Networks and directly to friends. If you are loving what I do, help me get the word out and share me with a friend.

I could go on and on about so many new features, but that would take all the fun out of exploring it yourself. ... Now to what's really going on...

My summer has been fun taking a break from the tour. I will be returning to Las Vegas and the MGM Grand with Rodney Carrington at the end of this month for 2 weeks. If you're out west, come see us.
